Foundations of Love Child & Family Ministries, Inc. was incorporated in April 2026. We are a Christian, faith-guided nonprofit, and our work begins where families are carrying the most and asking for the least.
It started with a question no one could answer.
Ask a parent who works nights what they do with their children, and you will usually get a pause before the answer. The pause is the problem. Overnight childcare is not a service most communities have, and the families who need it most are often the ones with the fewest options.
Foundations of Love was formed to answer that question properly. Not with a temporary favor, but with a real place, staffed by real caregivers, open during the hours families actually need. That is Haven of Rest, and it is where we are starting.
We call it a foundation deliberately. Overnight care is the first thing we are building, not the whole of what we intend to build. As the ministry grows, we want to be a trusted place families can return to for care, encouragement, and hope.
Our mission
Foundations of Love Child & Family Ministries exists to strengthen children and families by providing safe, nurturing, and supportive services that build a foundation of love, purpose, and hope. We believe every child deserves to be cared for in an environment where they are valued, encouraged, and supported, and every family deserves resources that help them thrive.
Our vision
To create a community where children and families have access to dependable, compassionate support that meets their needs and helps them grow. Through Haven of Rest Overnight Childcare and future family-centered programs, we hope to become a trusted resource for families who need care, encouragement, and hope.

- We start by understanding what a family is carrying before we ask anything of them.

- We build what families actually need, in the hours they actually need it.

- We say what we will do, we do it, and we tell the truth about where we are.

- We work as though tomorrow can be steadier than today, because we believe it can.

- We ask for God's guidance before we plan, and we keep asking. This ministry rests on prayer as much as on effort.

Foundations of Love is a Christian, faith-guided ministry. Our desire is to serve children and families with the love of Christ while providing practical support and creating a safe and nurturing environment.

Every decision here starts in prayer. We want a child in our care to feel safe, loved, seen, valued, supported, and understood — not processed through a night, but known by the people looking after them. We believe children are a gift, that families are worth strengthening, and that the God who does not sleep is keeping watch alongside us.

Nawannda founded Foundations of Love to strengthen children and families by building practical, compassionate support where families need it most. Haven of Rest is the ministry’s first program and the beginning of a larger vision for serving children and families.
